
Purity is the Ultimate Sophistication
Most puzzle games on the market rely on rigid grids, squares, or cookie-cutter triangular pieces. When developing “Extreme Puzzle,” I decided to completely discard these traditional geometric constraints.
This is not just an experiment in visual minimalism, but a challenge to the player’s intuition.
Core Mechanics
- Irregular Cuts: No squares, no rhombuses, no triangles. The piece edges perfectly fit the actual physical outlines of the objects (like cats, cups, etc.). You must rely on the visual context rather than edge interlocking to find the answers.
- Immersive Physical Feedback: Introduces pixel-level real-time calculation and smooth easing animations. When you drag a piece to the correct position, the system snaps it into place with extremely restrained and elegant trajectories, accompanied by subtle scaling feedback.
- Progressive Flow State: From initial visual confusion, introducing mirrored traps, to the ultimate blind-puzzle mode that completely locks your vision. The game features 16 meticulously designed difficulty tiers, culminating in the “Peak Crowning.”
Technical Architecture
The game’s underlying engine is entirely driven by pure TypeScript combined with PixiJS. This ensures a full 60fps smooth experience on mobile devices, even under 5x5 or more complex grids with hundreds of irregular masks and high-frequency collision detections. There are no redundant UI elements; the entire screen is your canvas.
